A is for Apron

Another snowy day; another apron. I should call this the Miracle Apron. Know why?

Can you guess?
.
I didn't have to use the seam ripper at all! No mistakes!

I needed a victory, as I've been suffering from what Jodie of Ric-Rac calls E.I.T.T.T.S.

My hat's off to anyone who is patient enough to sew a slipcover for a wingback recliner. After wasting many hours on this, I gave up. The chair went to the thrift shop, and we may just buy one of these.

I made a denim slipcover for a hand-me-down chair that could have been that one's twin! It was challenging =/ the chair has since moved on to chair heaven. But I kept the slip cover, just in case.

OOOO! I would be too chicken to even attempt that! I like the IKEA chair myself, go with that idea. Which apron pattern do you like using? Never made one myself but there are so many around I am not sure which one would be a good one to try first.

I feel your pain on the slipcover. I once had a couch that sat with a large piece of material draped over it for the longest time. I started to make a slipcover but could never finish it. I even had a book with instructions. Yah, it didn't help.

I have the whole IKEA setup (couch and two chairs). Love them! Just make sure you get two slipcovers so while one is in the wash you can put the other on the chair. Check the clearance area because sometimes you can piece together a set for cheap.
