So whattaya think? This is Valspar's "Escape" otherwise known as Number TWO! Just one coat so far, but we're getting there! Is it what you expected? Does it look better? Worse? Is my vision becoming any clearer?
Oh, and I guess I have a giveaway winner to announce. Random.org picked #14, which is SAMINA! Samina, please send me your address so I can mail out your book!
Thanks to everyone for the input! I KNEW the bribe would work! :-D

Wow! This is going to look great. It is already so transformed. Lighter and brighter for sure.
I voted for #1 but #2 looks great. Not as dark as I thought. Can't wait to see the end results!
this looks great! so glad you went with number 2
it's beautiful!!
Love that blue color! You know "blue" is the pic of the "artist". You are that!
Wow, I love it!!! The colour is beautiful and the floors in your kitchen are marvellous! :)
It looks awesome! Wanna come paint mine next? :)
Looks super! So glad you went with #2. Never be afraid of too much color:)
@Sarah--the floors are going to be refinished in a couple of weeks--They are actually quite beat up!
@Kris--in a word--NO! NO! NO! NO more painting for a while!
While I'm really happy with how this is going, I don't want to do more!
Gerry...DP's husband...
Your kitchen is looking fabulous!!!!! I've been wanting to paint our currently dark walnut-stained cabinets white for a couple years, but keep waivering on the process. So did you sand? Prime? I've used valspar's one-coat paint in the past and it seems to work pretty well. Is that what you used?
This is lovely! I have been thinking of lightening up my kitchen - this may be just the inspiration I need.
