Thank You

Gerry and I would like to thank everyone for all the lovely expressions of support for us in our loss. It's nice to know that there are people out there who understand how important those little furry bodies can be. We've also had a lot of positive feedback from people regarding our decision to jump in and adopt again extremely soon after losing our Isabella. Yes, I've been keeping a secret.

Meet Eloise. I found myself looking at kittens at Petfinder on Saturday night, wondering if I might someday want to get a new kitten. I'd read all these things about waiting to adopt again, but I felt pulled to the photos. When this face popped up, I was smitten, and I think that's when I realized I wasn't going to hurt forever. Gerry and I talked, and we decided to visit the shelter the next day.

And now, meet Abigail. Yes, we came home with two kittens this time. Abigail was such a spitfire, we couldn't ignore her. I know she doesn't look like much of a firecracker in this photo, but this is post-rampage, when she's all worn out!

Gosh, I have so much to say about the loss, the new girls, everything. Life sure is funny. But that can all come later. For now...KITTENS!

Kittens are the best cure for whatever ails you. Seriously.

Welcome to Eloise and Abigail!

I see you have a Scratch 'n Scroll.
That is a favorite in our house.

KITTENS!!!! Gah, they are so cute!! And could you have picked better names? Fantastic! Welcome Eloise and Abigail!

I bet you that your lovely Isabella directed you to these little ones. The last thing she would want was for you to hurt. ((HUGS))

They're so cute. I can't say how much I love little kitties. My three are 2 now and we still can't get enough of their antics. Congratulations on your new little ones. :)

wonderfull! I adopted a cat 3 months ago, and I am loving it!! Animals truly are amacing, I have been missing my firs cat that died way to early 5 years ago, and now when I finally had a place to myself I was all eager to be blessed with such a charming little soul again:)

Is it silly that I just got all teary-eyed looking at your new furbabies? Oh, they are JUST so sweet!!
Congrats on your new additions. They will most definitely help heal hurting hearts!

Susan,
You did good!!! How did your Mom like the new kittens? Did she go ga-ga when she saw them? I like the names you chose too.

We added another chicken a few weeks ago. So now we have Chickita, Juanita and "Lolitta". Lolitta was what dear Chickita needed to get her out of her broodiness spell.

Animals and people often just need a little love to keep them going.
