Care for a chocolate? For our Valentine's celebration, Gerry and I took a trip to a nearby town to buy some of our favorite chocolates. Pierre's Chocolates in New Hope, PA makes some absolutely outstanding stuff--doesn't it look delicious? This is our custom 1.5 pound box, containing all of our favorites. Mine are mostly on the right, with the salt on top, and Gerry's are the nougats, peanut butters, and nut clusters to the left. We figured this was a good way to handle Valentine's Day during the No-Thing New project. No need for cards, flowers, or gifts. Just a really good box of chocolates. And if we each eat one piece a day, this will last the rest of the month! Which piece would you choose? |

only one piece a day? You DO have self-control. =)
Yep, we ate an entire box like that two Christmases ago. If we did it once, we can do it again!
I love chocolate covered cherries best. I gave my husband a tin of homemade sugar cookies and a homemade card. He gave me a pot of tulips (which I can plant outside later), and truffles. It was a great Valentine's Day, my favorite day of the year!
Sherry, that sounds so nice. :)
I have a soft spot for chocolate covered cherries. My father always gaver my mother a box of chocolate covered cherries for most any holiday (well, he might have given her a big red heart full of candies or maybe a Whitman' s sampler- we all enjoyed those gifts). The punch line of the chocolate covered cherries is that-----Daddy always gave Mother a box of chocolate covered cherries because HE loved them. WE LIKED THEM FINE--BUT HE LOVED THEM.
