I thought it might be time to change the ol' blog a bit. A new header (I never was satisfied with the last one), a new layout, some new colors. How do you like it?
I've been kind of down about my blog lately. Hits are down. Comments are down. It's frustrating. I feel like I'm missing something. Any suggestions? I'd especially like to hear from other blog owners, either in comments or email (darlingpetunia@aol.com).

I think I may know part of the problem. My mom has your blog bookmarked (whereas I use the "blogs I'm following" feature on blogger) and today she had your blog open and I was surprised to see updates!
Blogger stopped notifying me of them 3 weeks ago so I had no idea you were posting! No idea why that happened but if it's true of other people's thingies they use to follow blogs (whatever those are called) it could account for why your hits have been down.

Ugh that is so frustrating, because I have no idea what to do to fix that.

I just got TWELVE update in google reader all at once. I thought you just hadn't been blogging.

Yep, same thing here- nothing in the RSS feeder for weeks and then 12 all at once! It was fun to open and have lots of back posts to read today though! Keep it up- your blog is great!

Yep, I finally got my RSS-fed updates, too! I was just yesterday wondering if you were aware that the RSS feed was off somehow (or if it was just mine). I'm glad you got it figure out anyway. Please don't feel down about the blog otherwise! I love popping in to see what you're making & reading & sharing!
I love your blog, I think its probably the time of year, I usually check in most days but cos of Christmas and New Year I haven't been able to do this, although I do catch up on all posts, when I do check in! I just keep you in my bookmarks bar, I've never used any of the reminder thingies.
yup, i agree with everyone else. i'm still using bloglines, and it wasn't showing me any new updates from you for the longest time. i got curious and went straight to your blog and WOW, updates! I'm excited, and i'm sending my friends your way too, btw.
You weren't on my updates either for a while, blog list from blogger. Ooops, well it is nice to catch up and see what you've been doing. Love the new header and new look, very cool!
Love your blog as always. I think the new facelift is great! Change is always good and helps us all feel refreshed.

I like the new look! I know I only hit a blog if reader shows updates. But then even when it does obviously I am behind as well. LOL I here though!
