New Nest

Did I mention what I found in Ireland? Well, thanks to a missed exit, we discovered a Cath Kidston outlet at Kildare Village! As we were turning back on the motorway, I spotted it and (no joke) started SCREAMING, "It's an outlet center and THERE'S A CATH KIDSTON STORE! Gerry! Gerry!" Once inside, I almost had a mental breakdown, being surrounded by all that Kidstony goodness and trying to choose what to buy. Finally, along with my rosy new duvet cover and various other little bits, I splurged on a new bed for Isabella. Now, notice it's taken me more than a month to mention it?

That's because, despite a generous sprinkling of cat nip and a prime spot next to the radiator, the little stinker hardly ever uses it. We've caught her in it a few times during the night, but I could never lure her into it during the day, when I could take her picture.

Today I found her curled up in it. After a mad scramble (find camera, find out camera batteries are dead, find different camera, figure out how to turn off the flash) I finally captured my pretty kitty in her pretty nest.

Oh, that is DARLING and it is perfect for Isabella.
So feminine.
I would have carried it across the ocean as well. :)

Maybe she dislikes it because it smells of you being gone...

The word verification for this post was "thenaps". LOL

Sheesh! Doesn't she know it's imported? From Ireland? My cats would be all over that, particularly if I pretended that they were not supposed to be on it.

Word: corks

SO sweet... the bed and the kitty.

I bet if you put a newly ironed piece of fabric (that you plan to sew with) in the kitty bed, she'd be all over it. Seems to be what motivates my silly cat, anyway.

Awwwwww! So sweet!!

If only I could convince my kitty to sleep on something that cute, and not that by-now-extremely-disgusting piece of quilt batting she cannot part with......

:o)

Ahh, that is a cute picture! My cat did not like his bed, which is a similar shape. Popped it by the heater and hey presto! Cat in basket! In fact he is there as I type this. Snap, I have just blogged a Cath Kidston post too. Spooky.

that is too funny! Mine prefer to sleep on one certain chair that they fight over.

ha,ha what a good story!!
Cats are like that aren't they! My mothers cat always hide in the basement - eventhough there are plenty of good spots to be in upstairs!( after our oppinion of course!;) )

It's like a mind over matter thing in a cat's brain. "I cannot accept a new bed." "My old one is perfect and broken-in". "I can't let the Mrs. see me in it." (Then they try it out when your not looking - preferrably at night, so you won't spot them. Then they decide, "Hey, this isn't so bad!") And there you have it!! It's now acceptable. It's a mentally fatiguing, cat-brain acceptance issue. lol
