Morning Edition TOFT and a Giveaway!

Hey, all! Some pre-noon Throw Out Fifty Things! I think I need to focus more this afternoon, because this morning was a little random! But as long as things are going out the door, it's all good. Blogging this is helping me to stay motivated, but I know it isn't too exciting to read about, so I'm going to pepper these posts with GIVEAWAYS! Yay!

16. Bedspread and pillow cover. I thought I might cut this up and make something from this, but it isn't going to happen.
17. Pile o' clothes.
18. Socks. I'm sure you'll be excited to hear, my sock drawer is beautiful now.
19. Leftovers from a scrapbooking box I won. (I don't scrapbook.)
20. Bathroom rug.

21. Stack of books.

For the giveaway, leave a comment saying which book you would like to win. I have plans for some of these, so you must choose from the books shown below! Make sure I have an email address at which to contact you if you are chosen. I will leave comments open until tomorrow night, Monday, May 31, at nine pm my time, which is EST, I guess. This one is open only to the US! Here's a closer look at the books which are part of the giveaway!

Edited to Add: I guess I was sort of unclear in my directions--sorry! Comment with the name of the book you'd like if you're chosen. I'll choose one winner, and that person will get their choice. Better?

The two vintage baby knitting books count as one choice!

For the Love of Knitting: Lovely book about the history of knitting. Bought as a gift, anticipating a gift swap, then ended up with a different swap partner!

Encyclopedia of Embroidered Flowers: Beautiful, detailed embroidery designs--way beyond my skill level.

Sock and Glove: Cute ideas for softies!

Christmas Decorations from Williamsburg's Folk Art Collection: Ideas for old-fashioned, natural tree ornaments.

Ottobre Design Spring/Summer 2007: Many cute patterns--I cannot get into tracing them!

Hi! Thanks for sharing your progress in decluttering...an inspiration to get back to those boxes of things I'm avoiding sorting and dealing with.

And I'd love to take Easy Flea Market Style off your hands... :)

HEY!! That pillow cover and bedspread -- is there a ruffle all the way around the bedspread?? I thrifted the same spread in pink, and I absolutely LOVE the flowers on the ruffle. I've used them in a few projects! I am interested in THAT, if you haven't already ditched it!! :o)

You know I think you are evil for getting rid of stuff and giving it away to us so we have more stuff...evil lady...lol. But I would love to add the sock puppet book to my LARGE collection of books...evil really evil ;)

HeeHee, I agree with Denise--although I DID give a bunch of stuff away to my sister--now it's her clutter. :) Anyways, I would love the knitting book "for the love of knitting"

Oh, I think I was beat by someone else. I would love the Sock and Glove book, but would kindly also take the Style on a Budget book.

Stephanie, it's not possible for someone to beat you to it...I'm going to pick a winner out of all the comments, and that person gets their choice! I guess I wasn't too clear about that, huh? :)

Ooh, hello! If chosen, I would love the 'For the Love of Knitting' please, x

oh, I can't decide between easy flea market style or sock & glove, I would love either!! If I'm chosen you'll have to decide for me. BTW, you are so brave to be doing this, I consider parting with stuff, then I think of all the possible uses for it in the future and I just can't bear it.

Oops, just read your post again and saw this is only open to US residents, bummer for me :-( Ignore my previous post.

You know, I was thinking during dinner that my comment was silly, since you were going to pick one winner. :)

I know it's not in the giveaway, but I would absolutely LOVE the pillowcover that goes with the bedspread. I have that same color quilt my grandmother made for me as a child! The pillowcover would complete it for my daughter!

As for the givaway, I like the Ottobre book.

You are inspiring me to clear out some clutter! Of course, I wouldn't consider Easy Flea Market Style as clutter. I've been dying to take a look at that book!

I would love the "Sock & Glove" book that would help me deal with the "land of unmatched socks and gloves" that I have collected over the years.
