Throwing Out Fifty Things

I've been working on another project, besides The Quilt. Decluttering. Reading another blog (I don't remember which one, sorry, but there are many), I came across the idea of throwing out fifty things. It's a book, it's a website, and it's turning into a movement, with bloggers from all over rising to the challenge to let go of the stuff that's clogging up their lives. Wanna play?
.
My first five things:
1. Bag of yarn
2. Scarves and hankies.
3. Undies that don't agree with me.
4. Bits from the jewelry box.
5. Knitting books and tools.

Some of these things are going to the thrift shop and others I'll save for the next flea market, but I may do a few giveaways while I'm at it, too. To begin, I have a few of these little stich counters for knitting. Aren't they cute? If you'd like one, drop me a line!

I'm in awe of your ability to get rid of things. I need to work harder on that. That said, I LOVE your stitch counter and would love to have one. So cute!!

I would love to have a stitch counter. And, by the way, did you know that "darling petunia" fits "waltzing matilda" perfectly?

Super cute stitch counters!! My mom had one growing up, inherited from her mom. Pink. I LOVED playing with it when I was little!

I would love a stitch counter, but maybe you don't want to post to Australia! Love watching your quilt progress too

Hi, how nice of you to give away some of your stitch counters. I would love to win one!

emsres and Heather: If you'll send your addresses to DarlingPetunia@aol.com, I will send each of you a stitch counter.

I had four to give away, so they are now all spoken for!

Thanks for helping me declutter. :)

How about a give away with your hankies? I collect old and new, and I would love to see what you've got!

You could also ebay some stuff, if you want.

Melanie, the hankies are probably going on etsy!

I'm trying to declutter a bunch of my craft stuff too. We should start a declutter group on Etsy to get rid of our extras and get them to good people!
