Carrying on with Self-Stitched September! It's sort of fun pretending to be a fashion blogger. I should study a few of their blogs for tips on how to photograph outfits. Maybe "caught tucking my hair behind my ears" can become my signature pose.
This skirt was made from my go to A-line pattern, New Look 6843. In contrast to most, okay ALL, of the other self-stitched items I've worn so far this month, I REALLY LIKE THIS SKIRT!
I am still feeling very summery (it's still plenty hot), so I snapped on this "coral" bracelet, which used to be my Grandma's. I love how dimensional it is.
After I took the pictures, I noticed that a teeny sliver of my slip was poking out the bottom of my skirt. Rather than retake the pictures, I figured I'd just show off the slip! I'm not sure if I've shared this before, but I have...brace yourselves...forty-eight slips. This cotton eyelet one is one of my favorites for summer.

What a pretty skirt! I love that you have 48 slips. I aim to have a substantial slip collection, too.
Love the skirt. But, is your slip self-stitched?
Sarah, the slip collection started at a church rummage sale's 25 cent table!
anotheryarn, nope, not self-stitched, just a thrift shop find!
Great skirt - what a happy print! I'm glad to see someone else wears slips. I can't bear to wear an unlined skirt without a slip & it drives me nuts to see girls & women that do. A skirt just looks so much nicer when it's lined.
Your skirt is beautiful. I'm always inspired to pull out my favorite skirt pattern and get to stitching when I see a new skirt you've made. But I really have enough skirts already. My blog post yesterday showed a few of my many skirts. I hung my home-sewn ones out on the clothesline just to admire. I'm enjoying your Sept. stitch-along posts. I wish I had known about it in time to have participated.
